Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Not at all. Six pieces of information—your gender, birth date, health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount, and preferred term—are all the quote tool needs to fetch rates from carriers. Personal details like your name, address, and medical history are requested only if you proceed to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices shown reflect what each carrier is quoting for the health class you indicated. After you apply, the carrier's underwriting process determines your actual rate class and premium, which can go up, stay the same, or improve. These quotes are for information purposes and do not constitute an insurance offer or guarantee of any rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
First you enter your name, then the application is generated from the specific quote you picked and moves to the carriers' secure platform. The process allows you to pause and come back later, and documents are signed electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), manages the entire application.
Will I need a medical exam?
That varies based on which carrier, the coverage amount you're seeking, and the health information you provide. Some carriers offer Immediate coverage for qualified applicants and can decide without an exam; the quote display shows you for each product whether an exam is necessary, might be needed, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term length that matches how long your dependents would need your income: to pay off the house, support kids through their teens and early twenties, or cover a business obligation. Longer-term policies have a higher monthly cost but protect you for more years at a locked rate. Our quote tool makes it easy to view all options—10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years—on one screen.
Does this site sell my information?
Never. Our quote engine doesn't ask for contact information, we don't sell or share information about visitors, and our analytics don't use cookies. Read our privacy page to see the complete details of what we collect and which companies have access to it.
